Involved in a research work around image, Ambre devotes herself to a contemplation of the living by means of photographic processes while confronting them to textile materiality. She alters the photographic image : pixels and fabric weft points combine in a repetitive reminder of the living motif in the decorative representations.
Desirous of moving the disciplinary lines of her creative work, Ambre Raimbault opens her process to the creation of convivial and shared moments. Keen to discover and make creative practices and savoir-faire encounter each other in
interaction with local living species, she keeps her interest in introducing and interacting with some hand-crafted and rural practices : wild harvesting and cooking preparations, gardening and cultivating of aromatics and medicinal plants.
It’s through some encounters and stories that projects write themselves in her work : a wildlife photographer place her infrared hunting camera to get images from the Fontainebleau’s wildlife forest which she alters by projecting them on a textile material. A professional lacemaker teaches her the practice of lace, between creation of a drawing and a conception of an object curtain.
In her artistic work, the window is an element located on a threshold of entering in and on the edge of an atmosphere, the one of a natural environment, central angle of her research. The window as a starting point of her location
as an artist, in the daydream of an opening towards a wild outside and what it inspires. It is thanks to the filter of the lace curtain which is made out of multiple tossing of threads that a tiny connection between the outside living
and its representations in decorative art are converging. Images open up on observations of landscapes, sometimes altered with a concerning atmosphere through imitations, reproductions in the exhaustion of the representation’s
codes.
